The Time Machine

Sloane Meyer will present a special Cover-to-Cover program for homeschool teens and tweens! Students at February’s Teen/Tween Club chose H. G. Wells’ The Time Machine for the literary subject. Awesome choice! This short novel has wide appeal to both boys and girls. And anyone with a sense of adventure and imagination is going to love it! Here’s how this program works…

FRONT COVER (Monday, March 20th at 10am): Dressed in costume, Sloane will explain the basis of the novel, talk about the author, give interesting bits about some of the characters (no spoilers!) and kick start the group into reading the novel on their own. (Participants will brainstorm and choose a collaborative activity to enjoy at the Back Cover Wrap up party. The possibilities are endless… its the original TIME MACHINE!

READ: We will have copies ready for checkout. This is a short, exciting read for even the most reluctant readers!

Then BACK COVER(Monday, April 10th at 10am): Once the group has finished the novel, Sloane will return for a wrap up party and a collaborative activity!

New Teen and Tween Club

We are starting up a brand new program for teens and tweens with help from homeschool parent, Heidi Tingelhoff. Teen and Tween Club is just for teens and tweens. We are looking for their input on activities with an emphasis on building friendships and Camaraderie. Parents, you are welcome to leave your older kids and spend some quality time with the younger kids in or outside the library! We will have plenty of parents on hand supervising.

Please join us Monday, February 13th at 2pm for card and board games. Bring your best ideas for future programs!

February 4H Meeting

Please join us this Wednesday at 10am for 4H club. The topic will be Technology in Agriculture and Camping in 4-H! Please bring pop tabs if you have them. 4H is for 4th graders and up (and 3rd graders are welcome to sit in!)
