Michael C. Carlos Museum Pass

Thanks to a new partnership between the Michael C. Carlos Museum and Georgia Public Library Service, Georgia families can now enjoy the museum’s exquisite permanent collections and renowned special exhibitions showcasing arts and culture from around the world.

Family Pass loan program

Through the partnership’s Family Pass loan program families can visit the museum for free. Individuals and families with a valid Georgia library card can now check out a Family Pass to the Carlos Museum for six people at more than 400 participating libraries across all 159 Georgia counties.

Carlos Museum for families
Programs for children and families at the Carlos Museum provide opportunities for children and teens to learn from artists of the ancient world in the galleries and from some of Atlanta’s best practicing artists in the studio. Check out our special family events, programs for teens, Artful Stories, and so many more inspiring, educational, and creative offerings here.

More on the partnership

This partnership also includes programs at several Georgia public libraries each year and an eight-panel touring photographic exhibition, Discover the Stories of Civilization: Stories of Beauty, Power, Love, Glory and Faith, that opened in Leesburg at the Lee County Library on September 30. Plans call for Discover the Stories of Civilization to visit more than a dozen public library systems around the state in coming months, including the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library in late October and the Thomas County Public Library in mid-November.

“Art in the Park” Artworks are Back

Thank you to all who participated in the “Art in the Park” children’s display. I hope you had a chance to view all the great artwork in the Heritage Village during the festival. All of the projects have been returned to the library and are ready to be picked up at your convenience.
