We hope you all had an awesome summer and are getting settled back into the school routine smoothly. We have an exciting new year planned with a few changes we hope will serve all of our homeschoolers better. Instead of the large once per month gathering we will be offering smaller programs peppered throughout the monthly schedule. This will allow more flexibility to provide guest programs, fit your busy schedules and focus on smaller groups within specific age ranges. Coming up in September we will have a drop in workshop for those interested in submitting art entries into the annual Art in the Park student art contest. We have also planned a program with guest Jeff Killip, of the Jefferson Public Works Department, to explore the science of waste management, recycling and composting for levels K-4. A representative of Jackson County 4H will come speak about opportunities in 4H for levels 4-12 grade. Also for older students we will be starting a Khan Academy Study Day, our first event will focus on Algebra. We will post the schedule just as soon as we have everything in place. Hope to see you soon!
